Personal taste is whether you like strawberry ice cream or not. It is also a choice if you prefer winter to summer or visa versa. Of course there are many other instances that can be used to describe things people like or dislike. The main factor is the knowledge of what you will or will not receive.
At some point most people decide whether they like something based on experience. So with this in mind I started to question why some people hold negative views towards transgender people. In most cases people with transgender phobias haven't even met a transsexual or crossdresser.
Thankfully times change and progress through the years has its advantages of life education. These days; maybe as a direct by-product of the world wide web, transgender people are able to connect with others who understand their isolation, loneliness, fears and anxieties. Imagine not being able to share your feelings and emotions with anyone for fear of being labelled; not a pleasant thought is it!
Male Crossdressing
Usually starts in early teens, though some crossdressers can remember vivid fascination with their mother's or sister's clothing from a very young age. A male crossdresser will go through many stages of an emotional roller coaster. Some experience this through-out their entire life. Whilst others decide to accept that their crossdressing is part of who they are as a person & deal with that fact.
Unlike hair colour, clothes or the car you drive, being a transgender person is not a choice. It's something that is part of a person's persona. As the saying goes, "you are who you are". What's important is knowing that Transgender's are people too with feelings just like everyone else.
